Why Orange?

Our famous orange-handled scissors are symbolic of our ongoing commitment to designing and manufacturing products that are precise and easy to use. The orange color is used on our ergonomic handles - the world's first, introduced in 1967. This design was far more comfortable and offered more precision than the painted metal handles that were then the standard. Our new scissors also had innovative blades that were exceptionally light, yet tough. The result was an unprecedented level of comfort, utility and durability.

It all began with a commitment to innovation and ease of use. And in the end, that's really what Fiskars orange promises.
