Instills an awareness and appreciation for designs found in nature.
Requires the use of shape, texture & value in creating unity.
Activity:
Each student will:
- Use crayon to draw specimen on manilla paper. (Encourage students to touch all four sides of the paper when drawing these shapes.)
- Place drawing over texture plate and color.
- Combine different texture rubbings to achieve unity.
- Use scissors to cut out specimen.
Ideas:
Motivate students with marine life pictorials.
Create a marine life bulletin board. Be sure to include atleast one specimen from each student as well as three dimensional sea plants in the display.
