SAUK CITY, WI– Fiskars Garden and Outdoor Living unveiled its 2008 New Product collection, led by the highly anticipated Power-Pivot family of products.
The Power-Pivot mechanism maximizes power and reduces fatigue by putting your hand in a forward position that lets your first two, strongest fingers do most of the work. Our newly developed family offers the Power-Pivot Bypass Pruner both large and small, and the Power-Pivot Grass Shears.

The innovative rear pivot mechanism maximizes power and reduces fatigue by putting your hand in a forward position that lets your first two, strongest fingers do most of the work. The exclusive design also provides greater sensitivity and control, with a cutting action that feels as natural as pinching buds with your fingertips.
PowerGear 2 Bypass Pruner
Per your requests, we’ve enhanced our “best of the best” pruner with strong-yet-light aluminum body components, an easy-on-the-hands Softgrip® upper handle, and a slightly smaller size. But the best part remains the same: those amazing gears that reduce stress, minimize fatigue and amplify cutting force while the handle rolls to follow the hand’s natural motion.
Garden Multi-Tool
A palm-sized 4-n-1 tool that slices, saws, snips and cuts with ease. Includes a pruning/ multi-purpose snip, fine-edged knife and serrated knife plus wire cutting notch – all featuring fully hardened, 2-3/8" precision ground stainless steel blades that hold their edges through hours of hard use.
Aluminum Loop Handle Bypass Pruner
All the secure, easy-to-grip performance of a classic loop pruner, updated with Fiskars attention to comfort, cutting ease and lasting durability. Powerful hardened steel blades have a non-stick coating for smoother, cleaner cuts with less effort.
Big Grip D-Handle Saw
The generously sized 4.3 inch x 3 inch “D” handle provides the perfect fit for big mitts. Plus, the Softgrip™ padded aluminum handle keeps your wrist and arm aligned for maximum comfort and greater strength. 18" Triple-grind saw blade cuts on the pull and push stroke to slice quickly and cleanly through the hardest wood.
Extended Reach Weeder
At last, a non-toxic way to vanquish every weed – with absolutely no tiresome bending or tugging. With a simple “step down, pull back” movement, the serrated, stainless steel tine grasps intruder plants and plucks them neatly from the soil – roots and all. The durable steel handle features an ergonomic grip for fatigue-free use, and the extra-large step offers greater leverage. There’s even an ejection feature that clears the tool for interruption-free action.
