Thanks!

Send a smile along with your Christmas cards by including just a little bit of humor!
Puns are one of my very favorite ways to come up with card inspiration, and here are two easy examples for the holiday season.
Elf Card
First up is a card with whimsical elf legs and shoes created with paper straws and clever paper punching. Add "Have yoursELF a merry little Christmas" sentiment to play off of the cute elf design.
To create the shoes, punch an XL heart from green cardstock. Feed the negative space back into the punch offset as shown to create the shoe shape. Repeat on the other side of the heart for the opposite shoe.
To create the shoe's cuff, trim off a small strip of darker green cardstock using pinking paper edgers. Press to flatten paper straw halves and adhere onto the card base. Adhere the shoes and cuffs at bottom of straws using foam squares at the toes of the shoes to make up for the straw's thickness. Hand-cut a simple pair of shorts to complete the adorable legs.
Deck the Halls Card
"Deck" takes on a double meaning here when using a deck of cards to create the ornaments. Decks of cards come in many beautiful designs, and their red color is perfect for Christmas. The Fuse Creativity System® makes cutting out multiple ornaments a snap. This is wonderful for mass-produced cards. Run cards through the Fuse using the Ornaments Mini Design Set. Be sure to get the edge of the card in the design to add to the playing card feel.
Finish off the ornament with a hanger created by trimming a small strip of gray cardstock with pinking paper edgers, baker's twine, and a tied ribbon bow.
