Making your own artwork to decorate your house can be as simple as punch, cut and paste.
You do not need to be an artist for this project, and there is no paint involved. Add your own flair and make monogram wall art to decorate your house.
To start this project, first collect a selection of patterned papers in a color palette that will compliment your home.
Next, punch out hexagon shapes using the Large Hexagon Squeeze punch. The squeeze punch is designed so that you can see where you are punching, which helps save paper, and it allows you to align your punch out with patterns on your paper. This is a fun project to do with your kids, because they love punching shapes from paper.
Using tacky glue, start adhering the hexagons onto the canvas. There is no need to prime or prep the canvas in any way. Simply adhere the punched hexagon shapes onto the canvas front, leaving a little space in between each hexagon.
Let this dry for about 12 hours.
To make the alphabet initial, print out your letter of choice onto an 8.5 by 11 inch piece of printer paper. Lay your printed letter on a piece of glittery cardstock, and carefully cut out the letter using the Orange Handled Scissors.
If you find any of the curves a little tricky to maneuver, switch to the Micro-Tip® Scissors.
Next, adhere the letter onto some foam. Using the Orange Handled Scissors, cut the foam around the alphabet. This foam gives some dimension to the letter.
Finally, adhere the alphabet onto a 12 by 12 inch paper and adhere onto the canvas.
