Thanks!
We're happy to have you on board!
The holidays can be hectic, so let's make decorating simple! You can whip up your very own constellation themed party, NYE bash or twinkle twinkle kids birthday party with these DIY star garlands.
Step 1: Select your garland paper and punch your shapes. We chose a great gold paper to match our NYE party theme and punched out a variety of different sized star shapes using the Fiskars® Star Thick Materials Shape Punches in sizes small, medium and large. These punches lock down when not in use for space-saving storage and they cut through multiple layers of light craft paper which helps to speed up the punching process.
Step 2: Weave your star shapes into a garland. With the help of a needle, thread your star shapes with fishing line twice on each star. The needle should go in and out from the same side of the paper so the star is aligned with the fishing line. Thread different size star shapes at random to create your desired final product. Working on a dark background can sometime be helpful since the fishing wire is transparent.
Step 3: Hang to decorate. Find a blank wall, a door frame or entry way to spruce up and adhere the garland for an impactful decoration.
Step 4: Save for another use. We loved this so much we definitely wanted to save for another occasion. To do so, just carefully remove your garland and wrap around a piece of cardboard to avoid tangling.
