Easter Egg Decorating Ideas

To create the animal Easter eggs, you will need eggs, acrylic paint, and various colors of card stock. You can use blown out eggshells, plastic or hard-boiled eggs.

1. First, you will need to paint your Easter eggs using acrylic paint or dye.

2. While your eggs are drying, you can begin preparing your card stock pieces for the three different animals. For the base of the egg, use the Grass border punch to punch out the shape. Form the base by hot gluing the ends of the card stock together.

3. Next, punch circles using the 1/8" circle hand punch for the eyes and cheeks of the three different animals. Use the ¼" circle hand punch for the bear's nose and ears.

4. The white faces of the fox and the owl were cut with the That's Amore heart-shaped squeeze punch. After you have your heart shapes, you can use your scissors to trim them into a more rounded shape at the bottom of the heart. Make sure to assist the little ones with this!

5. Use the large Petal by Petal squeeze punch to create the fox's ears. Add a tail to your fox and make layered wings for your owl using the extra large Petal by Petal squeeze punch.

6. To make the feathery owl chest, use the Scalloped Sentiment border punch.

7. After you have all of your shapes punched out, you can simply attach them to your eggs using a hot glue gun.

The squeeze punches are easy to use, and the steps are simple making this a great project for kids of all ages!
