Tips for cooking with and maintaining ceramic coated cookware

Always add butter or oil to the pan before frying
- It’s best to avoid heating an empty frying pan.
- For the best frying result always use oil or butter. Reduce hob temperature as soon as the oil or butter begins to boil and make sure the pan has heated up before adding the food into it.
- We suggest frying on low- and mid-heat settings. Ceramic coated non-stick frying pan withstands heat very well. However, avoid using very high heat, as overheating the pan will weaken the coating.
- Be mindful, especially when using booster function on an induction hob, not to overheat the pan.
- Be sure to let food fry a short moment before turning or moving. This will help you avoid having food to stick on the pan and you will get a beautiful frying surface.

Let frying pan cool before washing
- We recommend using utensils made of wood or plastic. Avoid using metal utensils that will scratch ceramic coated cookware.
- Let frying pan cool before washing. Adding cold water to a hot pan may damage the coating and/or warp the base.
- We recommend handwashing ceramic-coated cookware. All Fiskars ceramic-coated cookware can be washed in the dishwasher, but handwashing the frying pan (with a brush, water and mild detergent) is recommended because it will prolong the life of the coating.
- Soak the pan in water to release really badly burnt food residue.
