Warranty

What warranties are available?

Fiskars power tools are covered by a three year warranty within North America. Fiskars power tool batteries are covered by a two year warranty within North America. See Warranty Terms for details.

What defects are covered by the warranty?

We offer a limited warranty against material or manufacturing defects. Wear and tear or resulting defects, damage caused by accidents, improper use, or lack of maintenance are not covered by the warranty. Please refer to our full Warranty Terms.

Why is proof of purchase required for claims?

The receipt serves as proof of the time and place of purchase in case of an exchange, return, or warranty claim. It can be helpful to store it digitally, e.g., as a photo or scan. This way, you can quickly access it if needed.

How should I store lithium-ion batteries when not in use?

Store at moderate temperature (not extreme heat or cold), ideally around 20-25 °C (68-77 °F). Avoid long storage when fully charged or fully discharged. (High temperatures reduce battery life; storing fully charged increases aging)

Year-round use as a power bank supports Fiskars battery longevity and prevents deep discharge.

Is it safe to leave the battery connected to a USB-C charger indefinitely?

Generally, it is not recommended. Once charging is complete, remove the battery and store it elsewhere to prevent stress from heat or trickle charging.

What happens to batteries in cold weather?

Cold temperatures can temporarily reduce battery performance. We recommend bringing the battery to room temperature before using – for example, by storing it in a heated indoor area. This ensures that the device operates reliably.

Are lithium-ion batteries in garden tools safe?

Yes – when used properly, lithium-ion batteries in garden tools are safe. Our products feature built-in safety mechanisms such as:

  • Temperature monitoring
  • Overcharge protection
  • Short-circuit protection

These features ensure maximum safety in everyday use.

Purchase within the last 24 months?

During the statutory warranty period of 24 months, the retailer from whom you purchased the product is responsible for handling complaints.

Please contact the retailer directly and provide your purchase receipt.

Product older than 2 years?

If you registered your product for our voluntary manufacturer’s warranty within 30 days of purchase, this warranty may apply.

Please note: The voluntary warranty is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase and only if registration has been completed successfully within 30 days after purchase.

To assess your claim, we require the following:

  • Purchase receipt
  • Registration certificate
  • Photos of the defect and the complete product
  • Product name and serial number

Please submit your warranty claim using our Claim form.

Product older than 3 years?

Even if your product is no longer covered by warranty, we are happy to check whether a spare part might resolve the issue or whether a repair is possible.

Please contact our Consumer Service and provide the following details:

  • Product name and serial number
  • Description of the defect
  • Photos of the defect and the complete product

We will review your request and get back to you with possible solutions.

Important:
Do not send in defective products without prior agreement. Unauthorized returns cannot be accepted.

Many of our products are manufactured directly in Finland, while some have been outsourced to other countries. However, we exclusively partner with high-quality production facilities that manufacture our products in accordance with strict internal guidelines and high standards.

Why are some products not available in every country?

The decision about whether and which products are included in a country’s assortment is based on many different factors and market conditions. As a result, it is entirely possible that a product is available in one country but not in another.
