Before you begin stamping, wash, dry and iron your tea towels.
Stamping Flamingo Tea Towels with Brayer
1. Place the flamingo stamp from the Tropical Getaway stamp set (or a stamp of your choice) on to the stamp block.
2. Put some fabric block printing ink on to a smooth, hard, flat surface and roll over it with the brayer, coating the rubber roller with the ink.
3. Apply ink to the stamp rolling the brayer forward and backward to ensure even coverage.
4. Stamp the tea towel, pressing down on the raised side handles on the stamp block.
5. Stamp in a repeating pattern, using the grid lines on the stamp block for alignment.
Stamping Tropical Leaves Tea Towels with Stamp Blocks
1. Place the leaf stamps from the Tropical Getaway stamp set(or a stamp of choice) onto the stamp block. The grid lines on the stamp blocks make it easy to position and align your stamps exactly the way you want them.
2. Apply ink to the stamps using the brayer.
3. Place the Position & Press Stamp Block press on the tea towel. The spring feet allow you to correctly position the design before stamping. Push down on the stamp press. The non-slip feet help keep the stamp where you want it.
4. Reapply ink and repeat stamping to cover the tea towel.
Stamping Palm Tree Tea Towels using the Stamp Positioner
1. Place the palm tree stamp from the Tropical Getaway stamp set (or a stamp of your choice) onto a stamp block and apply ink using a brayer.
2. Stamp the tea towel in a repeating pattern, reapplying the ink when necessary.
3. Place the aloha stamp from the Tropical Getaway stamp set (or a stamp of your choice)onto a stamp block and apply ink.
4. To ensure you're placing the stamped words exactly where you want them, place the Stamp Positioner on the tea towel and extend the clear imaging sheet.
5. Align the stamp block's corner with the positioner's corner frame and stamp the aloha design on to the imaging sheet. Stamping this imaging sheet first will let you see what your stamp design will look like before you actually stamp.
6. Use the imprint on the imaging sheet to confirm placement of the stamp. Adjust the positioner as needed.
7. When you're ready to stamp on the tea towel, slide the imaging sheet under the positioner.
8. Re-ink the aloha stamp and align the block's corner with the positioner's corner frame and stamp.
In just a few simple steps, you have custom tea towels complete with perfectly aligned stamped designs!
